Here is my folder structure:
/public_html/folder/

images
- images.jpg (several images)
members (these are the pages I want password protected)
- newsletters
- files.html (several pages)
index.html

I granted access to the members folder for a test user, the program uploaded a .htaccess and .htpasswd file to the main folder where the index.html is stored, and an .htaccess to the members folder and to the newsletters folder. When I go to my site I go to the index.html, click on the link which brings up a page in the members folder, the user name and password window pops up, I put in the correct name and pass and then I get a page with this error:

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@blank.net and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I tried to delete the .htaccess out of the main folder figuring only the folders I want protected should have it but that did not work. Any ideas?

My site is set up like this: mysite.com/folder/index.html
Should I store the .htpasswd under mysite.com rather then the mysite.com/folder/ directory?

Yes. I think that it will work if you store it under just mysite.com.

However, also make sure the program is compatible with your server. Did you run the test that is required "check to see if WAM is compatible with my server"?

Hi, I am geting the following error after completing the install of the component:

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@gmad.org and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Any suggestion to what's wrong would be greatly appreciated. The path to the files is "public_html/bpconnex/www" Site URL is www.gmad.com/gmad_home.html go there and click the bp connex button. The error happens after you enter the username and password.
