I have a problem with access Manager 5. (Trial Version)
Everything works fine. I even see the .htaccess file that it creates.
I cannot get past the Authentication Required block. It keeps coming back as if the user/password entered was incorrect. Eventually it pass on - and not to any of the error pages loaded.

It is a Apache Server (ixwebhosting)
There are no other .htaccess files that may interfere.

Where else can I look for answers? Have looked at Steves cool video. Nothing there that I could see that got me going.

Now I need to be able to log out.

Is there anyone with code so I do not need to re-invent the wheel?

Please?

Hi Faure,

What exactly are you trying to log out of? It should log you out as soon as your session ends, meaning as soon as you close your browser window.

Hi Steve

Is there a way that I can "lock" the data concerned without first closing the browser window?

Your pages that you protect will remain locked for any user you do not have added to your WAM. So you can make the changes to your page and no one will be able to view them unless they have permission to it.

Maybe I am not following you here, what exactly are you try to accomplish?

OK, what I want to do is allow a user access to a page/document thru WAM. Once he close the page ( say by clicking on a Log-out button or something) the page must be opened with a password again. User may not close the browser between times he look at page.

It should be that way by default. If you close the page can you open the website again and still access?

Yes. I can access "locked' website as many times as I like - until I close browser. Then it locks again.

I want it to lock when I close the page/website.
