I have a current, paid version of Website Access Manager. My site is running on an Apache server at http://sstsmg.com/html/ and I have about 100 users. I imported the users from a .csv file and gave them all access to 4 protected html files. When I try to access any of the protected pages I get an error 500 page.

I removed the WAM from the server using the tools menu link and shut down WAM on my Win7 x64 workstaitin. I then deleted the .hdb file and reopened WAM. It took me through the setup and install on the server and I again imported my users but get the same result.

The .htaccess and .htpassword file look OK.

Any ideas???

Sorry, I was still working on things. I am moving the site from PHP and MySQL to HTML. The original site is still up and I had not gotten all the cross links fixed yet. There is now no login page at http://sstsmg.com/html/index.html but there are protected pages. Http://sstsmg.com/html/windmachine.html pops up a login box but the no logins work. Everything goes straight to an error 500 page. I am copying and pasting usernames and passwords from the spreadsheet that I imported into WAM in the first place.

I uninstalled WAM and deleted the C:\Users\Userneme\AppData\Roaming\CoffeeCup Software\CoffeeCup Web Access Managed directory. I then rebooted my machine. I re-installed WAM and created one user, granted that user access to 4 files and uploaded the info to the server. When I click on a link to a protected html file, I get an instant error 500. This happens in all browsers.

I got it fixed. My error. I had the .htaccess and .htpassword files in the same directory with the files I was trying to protect. Moving them up 1 directory fixed the problem.
