Email not working - Page 2

I am having the same issue, settings are exactly the same as they are in thunderbird and it passes the email test just fine but when I try to send an email to a user it just fails. I am using a godaddy based email and WAM 3.1 build 195.

All I can say is get a Gmail account ;)

I read: Please note that you should use the e-mail account provided by your web host, such as youraccount@comcast.net or youraccount@aol.com.
Exactly I am using aol.com service for my e-mail and still get problem with authentication. Please help.

Hi,
What I found with Lunarpages is that I had to not use authentication!!!

E-mail setup for AOL.com:
SMTP Server: smtp.aol.com
SMTP port: 25
Check box for: My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
Check boc for: SSL.
Depending of your settings check:
use settings as above, or
log on using: and write you data (username and password).

I don't think I had the SSL box checked, since I don't use SSL. Maybe that's it. I'll give it a shot next time around. Thanks. :)

Well I may barking up the proverbial.... but I can send & receive a test e-mail,

Connecting to SMTP Server: mail.archerysa.org.au Port: 25...
Connected. Logging Into SMTP Server...
SMTP Server Login Completed. Sending Test Email to admin@archerysa.org.au
Email Successfully Sent! Check your inbox.
SMTP Quitting.
Test Complete.


but try and send any one of the e-mail templates to a user (including myself) and the message simply goes into the ether (I don't get an error message such "Unable to send").

What am I missing here?

Hiya Bruce,

Have you checked the spam box(es) of the email addresses you're trying to send to? Such a simple thing, yet one we "all" forget to do many times when testing things hehe.
