Which Contact Management software?

I want to invite folk to join an online club. They are going to make a PayPal payment, then receive a username and password for restricted areas of my site. The password needs to expire after a year, and they need to be sent reminders, etc. I also want to send newsletters by email.

Their details are currently being stored in an Excel file, but I want to develop this into a full CM or CRM system.

Any thoughts on what type of software could be used for this?

Thanks!

I gather that you are collecting data from the WFB form. From what you say your only problem is to delete pass information after a year. I believe that Paypal allows a subscription so what you are left with is a check daily to see who is still registered and then mail out to a client once their subscription becomes due. Then perhaps after a period delete their access.
I think that more of a script than a CMS system. It is not difficult only time. PHP is not that hard to use and so much is available as tutorials or examples. I purchased a book "Learn PHP in 10mins" That was a laugh it took me a good 3 months. problems like that become surprisingly easy though. I can give you some advice if you contact me to get you on your way.

I created a classified system as a learning exercise so some of the code like getting membership, checking for passwords there is code for, you may be able to convert it for use. There is a lot you can do with an if statement

I used a Flat File system a mate of mine developed. better than MySQL for medium applications and fully searchable
