Hi Gang:

Attached is a screenshot of the first in a series of errors that occur when attempting to open a from.

The error is a MS Visual C++ runtime error.

I had a previous version of WFB. As per CC practice I uninstalled, cleaned out the folder, and installed the newest version.

Web Form Builder
Version 2.3 build 5217

Windows XP.

I created the form yesterday. Uploaded it to the s-drive. I'm having troubles accessing it but others in this forum have reported it works fine so I believe this is an unrelated issue.

Doesn't matter how I attempt to open the form the error comes up immediately.

Hopefully there is nothing confidential in the file but I'll attach it to this message as well.

I cleared the folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\... \Local Settings\Temp

I also cleared the Windows Temp folder

rebooted.

Same error.

bye

That form appears corrupted Eric as I am unable to open it. Try restoring the form from a backup and try to open that one.

Did any errors appear during the save process or was this file touched outside of the software?

Thanks for looking Scott.

No, the file was not touched outside of WFB.

No I don't have a copy or backup of that form. I was just learning the "new" ;-) WFB and it was a quick throw together in one session. Unless it is copied to s-drive?

Anyhow. I'll just delete it and start again. Only took a few minutes (yeah WFB!)

I don't recall anything unusual on saving it and closing yesterday. Um. I was moving pretty fast and not knowing what to expect jumping between the browser, VSD, and WFB so I may have missed something or interrupted a process or something.

Sorry I don't have any clues for you. Leave it at operator error for the moment. If I can recreate the steps to corrupt it I'll post those. Unfortunately I can't help CC any farther with this.

And you've helped me figure out what is wrong, so thread is done.

bye

In the form folder is a file Myform.html. Navigate to that and double click on it. If you created the form correctly you should see it the same as the preview.
It is what is placed into your page. I do something similar in my CMS program, I insert a html page within a php variable so I know it works. Only I do not use an iframe.
