I just installed the 2.3 update to my desktop (Win 7, 32 bit, IE10) and my laptop Win 7, 64bit, IE9) and went to play with it a bit. I tried to preview a form on the desktop browser and got a message about scripts running too long and then the browser loaded but displays nothing. Tried with Firefox, Chrome, Opera and Safari - nothing. Tried the same thing on the laptop and the form previewed fine. I checked the temp files and the laptop preview.html shows 46kb and the desktop 0. Any ideas why the preview won't work? I tried saving the file and it still won't display. I must have some permission set wrong.

That is actually a Windows OS issue. See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/175500 for instructions on how to fix that.

That's what I was afraid of - I've done the fix, checked the registry to make sure it was there, re-booted and still the same - no preview (How ya doing Scott? Do you ever get home? Or is that Home?)

Since this seems to be script related I played with the security settings and still no joy - however- if I create a new blank form and add elements I get a preview, ANYTHING created from a template will not. I'll also wondering why the preview.html isn't populating when I use a template.

A template is just a pre-saved form, so I don't think that is it. Have you tried rebooting your computer?

Yes, rebooted and reinstalled the program several times. On the laptop it works fine, use a template to create a form and go to preview and the form will load in the browser. On the desktop (where I do most of my work - I'm old school) nada. When I looked at the preview.html in the temp file, a new blank form will populate the file with xxx bytes. Anything created from the templates will not - 0 bytes. Just for grins I copied the preview file from the laptop to the desktop - displayed fine if I just selected the file. When I went to preview in the program, the file reverted to 0 bytes and wouldn't display. I also have tried to just let things run for a while but killed it after 30 minutes.
I've never had this kind of a problem before - most times it's my mistakes in not doing something correctly but this is just strange. The version before the update worked perfectly.

Just another turn of events - I did a complete uninstall reinstall of the program which didn't help. I created a new blank form to play with and found that if I select the magical elements Email or Web Address the field just pops up and "Label" and has none of the correct properties. Under the Settings menu I wanted to add addresses to the Reply-To and Auto-Response fields and I could not select or add anything. I retried all of this with my anti-virus off as well. Very frustrating.

That sounds exactly like a bad install. Some of the interface controls are missing.

Used control panel and deleted the program. Rebooted. DL'd a fresh copy of the install file. Turned off virus and firewall. Selected "Run as Administrator". Installed program. Set compatibility mode to "Run as Administrator". Still won't work properly. Don't know what to try at this point if it's a bad install.

Any chance of snagging an earlier pre 2.3 version? That was working just fine on my system. Since I have no idea why the upgrade won't work I'll forgo the improvements for something that works.
