I don't see how any company can make a program that installs on all machines at a specific 'speed'. It works fast on my machine because I have a powerful machine. Eric says his takes 12 mins, another user says 3 mins. You can't account for hardware and installed software that may adjust speed of performance. I really don't know where this is going.

Ask yourselves this...is the update, and the price (free), worth the time to install? Thought so ...:D

I agree. I have other programs that take a while but it's not like you have to install every time you want to use the app.:)

A couple of you are missing the point. I was just wondering out of curiosity why this program, and this program alone*, takes such a disproportionately long time to uninstall and install.

*I mean it...NO other program from CoffeeCup or anybody else takes as long. Even the install and uninstall of LibreOffice is much faster (on the same hardware Gunsmoke).

New version of form builder does nit include a pdf manual as in previous version. I know I can copy and paste the manual details from the website, but that takes time copying and pasting and then printing. One of the things that I have liked about this product was the relative ease of printing out a manual that was a pdf file. As a user I would like to see the pdf manual version reinstated. I'm sure there is some business related reason for changing, but it doesn't make the system as user friendly as it was. Anything that saves me time is user friendly. Please consider reinstating the old pdf system in future editions or provide a link to your website to download a self contained pdf, not a range of links as you are currently using.
Thanks

I didn't realize it no longer had a PDF, so just had a look at the Help file.
I much prefer this to the old PDF guide. Especially the FAQs – much more info available with all the links there.
It's been a long time since I printed any of the PDF guides. I used to do that, but usually ended up reading stuff on-screen anyway (a second monitor is quite useful) while my notebooks collected dust.
Sorry, to all the PDF lovers, but I hope all the guides get done this way :D

By the way, my last FB install went so fast, I wasn't aware of the time... maybe a minute or so at most?
(Win7, 64bit, 6GB). Sometimes the actual forms take a long time to FTP – I have one that takes around 40 minutes to upload. :o

We are moving away from PDF's and all Quick Start Guides will be online now. Having the documentation online allows for us to make instant changes to them should the need arise. With a PDF the only way we can make changes is to compile a new installation which takes time and resources. Another reason for moving to an online version is to make the content indexed in our site. So if you are looking for information on a program, all the documentation is available to you.

Save a tree and don't print. ;)

Sounds like an internet issue to me, I don't think the most horrendously long and hugest forms you can make would take more than 5 minutes to upload, after all it's pretty much all text and a few images at most. :)
