Trying to understand the new Form...

Hi all,
I just purchased the form builder mega pack and took a look at the new form builder. I do like the features in the form creation, etc. I think it is really cool. The one thing I am not really clear on is publishing the forms. I build websites for my sister's company and in doing so I create SEVERAL forms for each site. I currently do not use the S-Drive - I guess mainly because I was under the impression that it was mainly for blog type features (which I do not really need). Soooo, when I was playing around with the new form builder it looks like you have to publish to S-Drive. When I look at the plans for S-Drive, I see under the Webbie plan that you get (I think) 3 form uploads?? Surely, you can publish more than 3 forms.... I know I am missing something. Are the S-Drive plans and the publishing of forms through the new form builder directly related or is that something completely different? Also, if I am publishing forms for several different domain names do I have to set up a S-drive account for each domain? I feel like I am over thinking this and I am sure I will laugh at myself once I fully understand. I guess I am also still trying to figure out the benfits of S-Drive (yes, I have read several of the suggested articles and posts... I am still clear as mud) Any clarification would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks much!!

Melanie - Check out this post, the official release announcement http://www.coffeecup.com/forums/form-bu … post169274 Gives alot of info on the new Form Builder and a little about how it works with S-Drive. Note that the FULL version will work outside of S-Drive, it's limited now to help limit the problems (and help troubleshooting).

ALSO, S-Drive (while it did sort of start out as a blog tool) has and will continue to evolve into a great set of tools for web-masters. In just a short time, the crew at CC has added the ability to host VSD created sites, SCC created shops and now forms. I'm sure there will be more coming in short order.

Ok - I will check that out. But in short, are you saying that once the full version is complete that publishing forms will be able to work like it does now with the classic version? That I should just chill out....

Sure, guess I would say that ;)

But I'd also encourage researching/learning as much as you can about the great S-Drive/Stream features (both current and upcoming).

so, after reading the above suggested link .... I think I can answer my above question . Yes, it should work the same.

Now, in regards to uploading forms to S-Drive for publication.... is there a limit on the number of forms you can upload?

Right now with the Free Plan, you can have 1 form. We will be updating our S-Drive Plans very shortly to offer a wide range of options. You can see the existing plans here at http://www.coffeecup.com/sdrive/plans

Scott you missed your usual its not just hosting.

Melanie, S drive is as i have discovered highly beneficial to anyone who just has one website, with one form on it, BECAUSE ITS FREE HOSTING

I am working on a site for a chauffeur company, he has a 6 page website, one form covering all his requirements , and his own url added via changing CNAME records.

And a stream, for the use of his clients, for pre amble wedding pictures.

He was paying £50.00 per year to host with JH so he has 100% control in my absence

Now he pays nothing PA except £4.00 pa for a domain name (hopefully soon renewed through CC)

and if he needs to edit his form, he can himself without knowing anything about ftp etc.
Started using CC VSD in January 2009, I don't do HTML code, Sales from CC site exceeding expectations taken me out of semi-retirement
