Jared
I know this will probably get moved to the Tips or Suggestion area, but I wanted to post this for all to see for a little bit.

Nu that all ready :P LOL

Guy
I make limited use of forms, but for 17 weeks (See NFL Schedule), they are essential. This Webform maker could not be used for my purpose because of the pre selected radio button.

Hi Guy use checkboxes instead if you want singles only have the one and give each one a width or just group in threes

Hiya Badger,

The problem with using check boxes instead is that it doesn't provide for a "choice" like a radio button does and you can set it up to only accept one choice where as check boxes I don't believe you can do that.

Hi Jo Ann
I think it could if you use required check as 0 not tried it though but in theory it sounds good LOL

Yeah but that would require it to be checked for "each" box rather than for 1 box if I'm not mistaken?

Jo Ann
not if you use single check boxes then give it a width of say 20% then an other one with the same then would go side by side in the same row maybe

Badger - I believe Jo Ann is right... When trying to have a user chose a selection (an "either" "or" if you will) check boxes aren't the best choice. BUT a pre-selected radio button isn't good either. A user should be able to opt to not select an option, as long as you aren't making that set of radio buttons required.

Check boxes do not allow for required field or pick one or the other based on group name.

If you use 2 single check boxes side by side, the program will not allow the group name to be the same preventing an either/or situation that is either required or not required.

Ok will shut then LOL so if a pre-selected button isn't good ether why is it selected by default in the form as even I tried to do multiply radio buttons and one is selected by default so no choice for user?
