Questions and/or Suggestions

Oh goodness... not sure if I should post in this thread, or ask a question about problems I'm having? Because if I suggest something it may already be included and I just haven't discovered it yet...
Well, I'll try here & maybe have my question(s) post linking here? Heck if I know.

Ok. Finally trying out the new form and not particularly liking it right now.

Problems: (Using the transparent theme btw)

--Can't seem to position the Captcha box. Left, right? It's just stuck in the center no matter what I do.

--Submit button. Initially, I used a "color" instead of an image, then thought I'd try an image. But now the color that I chose originally is still showing behind the button. So I'm stuck with a graphic submit button. I had a black background, then when the I tried the rounded blue button, I could see a black rectangle behind it and can't get rid of it (make the "color" transparent).

--Prefer NO italics for visitor entered text (in text fields) (I did find it in the CSS btw).

--And the biggest issue, the inability to move stuff around. Someone posted a question about that awhile ago - http://www.coffeecup.com/forums/web-for … s-on-form/ - and it doesn't appear to have been resolved... Classic form you could grab the elements and physically (well, with the mouse) move them around and rearrange the order. Now, for example, if I make the Name field first, change my mind and want the Email field first, I have to go back and either change the element labels, or delete them and start over. Not fun if there are numerous elements to change. Changing the width percentage may shift items but it's like a Rubik's Cube, not the same thing.

As the person from that thread demonstrated with her Classic form compared to the new one, I am in the same situation. How would you propose to create something similar to my original (Flash) form? http://www.ink2art.com/contact/contact.html

So go into the CSS? For every form I create? Once I figure out where the code is that I need to change, it is no longer the easy, awesome form builder that it was supposed to be, at least for me. I was super happy with the Classic form, but of course wanted to discontinue the use of Flash and was excited that you guys came out with the new html version.

Frustrating.

Hope this all makes sense.
Thanks!

This is close.;)
Your form almost.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Thanks!

Here's the fb file that will get you off to a good start. There's still a lot of tweaking that needs to be done such as required settings and setting the field names to your liking. Have fun!

Hi everyone

Before we start - I can't program for toffee. tried n tried.... haven't the mindset. However, that doesn't stop my efforts...

My problem... I've been asked if I can setup an online questionaire / exam; about 30 questions with 3 multichoice answers. WBF fits the bill - questions with radio buttons and bobs your uncle.

Now the bit I can't cope with. Counting the correct answers and adding an email action if over a thresh hold.

If any one has an answer to this I'd be delighted with a little help, or I could pay you a fee.

Over to the clever people . Kind regards

WFB is great for getting info and yes it could do the task but would require a fair bit of coding to give you what you want. If you have a working form and a csv output I could help you on your way but I would not have the hours available to create the scripts.

There is a site called Hotscripts where I get questions answered. There are some real clever coders there. It is an option of somewhere to seek advice.

But there are other options. If you save to a database or csv file that information could be loaded into Access or Excel or Open office and that could be used to sort the data.

Another choice it to use Lime Survey it is an Open source program designed solely for that purpose. I know that can handle the survey you are after. The downside is you will have to set it up yourself.

If you do engage a professional make sure of what it is you want and get a contract for the work. Trouble with programming it can take as little as a few lines or several pages.
