Have tried the second link and it works fine however if a user makes an error or misses a field and trips the validation you cant correct and resend the form as the loading giff stays and the submit button disappears - any ideas on a fix or another alternative for a progress bar

Not from me. Eric may have a solution. I don't really code. I'm sure there should be some way to 'break out' but he's probably the best one to address that. Hopefully he'll pop around soon.

New version.
I put a timer in so you can see the submit longer. You can adjust to your needs. Also won't show the gif if there are form errors.
