Hi,
I have the need to create a field in a form, group-name, with prepopulated data in it ( "anyname"), make it visible, not changeable by user of form, and also have it populate a database field. Can you tell me how I can do this? I used to be able to do it easily in the old version of webformbuilder.

That looks to be a bit beyond me.. Is there no other easier way to make the "placeholder" data in the field the default data if nothing gets entered perhaps?

Sure alter the form after export and add a value attribute for the input. value="myvalue"
