I use web form builder 2.5 for OS X running 10.10.5 Yosemite.

I built a form and wanted to modify the notification email template but didn't realize it was changing it for the entire program and now the email templates have been altered. I deleted the app from applications, downloaded and reinstalled WFB and the altered email templates still exist some how even when starting a new form. How can I get back the original files?

I would suggest opening a ticket with CoffeeCup to see if they will send you the original ones and tell you how to put them back, or walk you through doing a clean install and removing all the files so that the program will reinstall them when reinstalled.

I did this exact same thing and that's what I had to do was contact them. I don't have the file anymore or the instructions as it was in email, but I'm sure if you open a ticket they can help you out.

+1 on wishing there was a way to "Not" overwrite the original templates when editing them. Have it automatically save a generic named template for you, and have it prompt a popup or something to tell you to give it a name etc. Has to be some way to do this so people don't do what we did, we aren't the only ones that have done it. :)

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
