Notification email - only want one...

I am using Web Form Builder with RED Personal. The notification email uses [form_results]. I edited it so when I receive it everything is in one column, no matter the viewport. So, it lists the question in bold and then the respond is below it. This works well. However, these emails need to get forwarded to different people and to a Google Group. The body of the email also needs to get put into a Google Doc - using cut and paste. This is where I run into difficulty. When I forward the email, it splits the body into two columns, the questions take up about 70% of the width and the answers about 30%. That looks horrible, especially since some of the responses are paragraphs long. Is there some way I can fix this? I would even settle for 50/50 columns, in both the notification email and the forwarded email. And trying to cut and paste to put into a Google Doc is even worse.

I know I could type out each question on the notification email and then list the response - Name: [name], but there are a number of conditional questions, which makes [form_results] a better option.

I've had similar problems sending emails with a script. It seems to randomly strip code out.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

I have read about the issue of code being stripped out. In this case it appears code is being added to make two columns where only one existed before. It is a really simple email, no color, no photos etc. just the questions and responses.
