New Form Builder distorting colors -...

Hi Gunsmoke and thanks for your reply - but please note: I never said there was anything wrong with the WFB - only that I was experiencing something weird. BTW - I've used previous version of the WFB on live sites, before I started teaching myself css - they all work fine, after a couple of instances of hand-holding from you guys.

I'll try to explain as best I can ... My process

1. I start by experimenting with a couple of css 3-level drop-down menus [all legally purchased] which allow me to incorporate icons + text on all the menu and sub-menu tabs
2. I find a freeware css code snippet to swap a logo image on hover and find a way to link it to an external site.
3. I open my CoffeeCup html editor and start making a couple of proto-pages [homepage + contact page] to test the menu. I preview the pages for any coding conflict by testing on various browsers on my desktop computer. Google Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Safari, and IE10
4. I open my newly updated WBF and devise a color-themed contact form. I place the form in a table on the Contact page and test on all browsers I have locally.
5. I realise the captcha code box won't work until I put the pages on a server. But what I'm trying to establish is whether I need to completely remake the form every time I want to preview it with a different color, or different font, etc Which I think you'll agree would be a HUGE hassle. Or - whether there's some page I can look at in any of the WFB folders/files - css or whatever - that will allow me to tweak colors, font faces etc
6. You're right - when I adjust stuff on WFB - the result seems fine. But when I put the code into the html page and then preview it locally - some stuff has changed. If - as Eric has suggested there may be a stylesheet conflict ... would that mean that WFB tweaks will only work if I have to ditch the other css functionality I've put onto each html page. WFB seems to produce a folder-full of sub-folders only some of which make any sense to me [images, style.css, etc] I'd NEVER want to usurp anyone code ... but I think I've been asking some pretty generic questions.

What have I got wrong that isn't making sense to you? What am I not understanding about how the process works - it seems as though you're saying that I'm not permitted to know the function of any of the code.

And BTW - is it possible to adjust any element in any of the Theme forms or is that possibly why I'm running into difficulties. By that I mean - as an example - I built a form with the hipster template, and found out where the Submit and Submit hover buttons are. So, I'm asking whether I can replace those buttons with ones I have built in PaintShopPro and saved with the same general dimensions and extensions. Or, does tweaking any of the Themes, confuse the code or otherwise invalidate it? What do you think, Gunsmoke?

Cheers
Beth

You can adjust any theme any way you like. As far as adjusting the code outside the WFB you should also be able to do that...provided you can find it! You're right, WFB produces a lot of files sometimes but you should only need to find the css file. Usually this is in the yourform_exported/yourform/theme/ folder. You should be able to tweak the colors or any other setting.

Why the colors randomly change for you is probably still a conflict with another css file or script.

... I place the form in a table on the Contact page

Maybe there's some table rules/styles getting in the way?
As Gunsmoke mentioned:
You're a 'registered user' that means you have a FREE S-Drive account with Coffeecup.

Uploading your form would be the easiest, quickest way to find out whats going on. If it looks as expected on the SDrive page, then you know for certain you have a conflict with something on your site. ;)
