Help file doesn't display program...

I previously emailed you about the fact that the Web Form Builder Lite version did not function as detailed in the help PDF file. Thinking that this was a factor of the Lite version, I have now bought the full version, only to find that there is the same discrepancy between the help file and what I see on the screen.
The help display shows tab properties etc which are not displayed on the actual software input page.
When I click on a field to add to the form,( eg Title) the word Title appears above the submit button. I have right-clicked the word Title but to no effect. The help file says:
Notice that a title has been added to the top of the form, but it’s just text reading “Title”. To change
this, select the title and click the Properties tab. Let’s change the text to “Contact Us!” and the font
size to 18. You can also simply double-click the title element to access the Properties tab.
But the Properties tab is not displayed and double-clicking the word Title does nothing.
I really need to get this program working, which is why I was prepared to pay $69 for it, even though the Lite version didn't work at all the way I wanted.
In fact, the behaviour I'm seeing is exactly what happened with the Lite version.
I really need to get the program working but at the moment it is useless for me. Please respond quickly and as a matter of urgency.

Hi karldallas, I'm sorry your having problems.
Your missing something in your system that's preventing the proper display. I would try redownloading the program and reinstalling.:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Yea, that doesn't look right. Eric's got the right idea here. The program does work as advertised. A lot of us have been using it for a while. Hang in there. It will get better...

Mine is now doing the exact same thing. It was working fine and then I opened it to use it a week or two ago and it looked like the attachment above. I've tried reinstalling it several times and it still looks like that. I use this program all the time; any ideas what the problem could be?

I bet there's a corrupt windows file. Open a support topic and let the CC gurus take a look. Post back when you get an answer.:)

Yep! Looks like it's some issue with Internet Explorer 10. Here's what I got back from support, in case anyone has the same issue:

--------------------
Form Builder uses .NET which have some ties into Internet Explorer and one or more of these DLL's that we use are either missing or corrupted. I have found that these steps typically correct this issue.

1. Shutdown all applications.

2. Uninstall Internet Explorer 10. This will revert you back to the previous installation of Internet Explorer.

3. Reboot your computer.

4. Re-Install Web Form Builder.

Now that should get you back up and running. You should be able to re-install Internet Explorer 10 again if you so choose.

Hopefully we will figure out a more permanent fix soon for this.
---------------------

This worked for me. I haven't been able to reinstall IE10 b/c now I get an install failed message for it each time I try - of course, heh - but given the two, I'd rather the form builder work, so I'll deal with IE10 later. :)

Thanks for posting back. I've dealt with that .NET issue for another problem. Glad you got it sorted out.:)

aargg, same problem. I had it 4 months back and had to restore my PC off a backup to fix. it. Now MS managed to sneak an upgrade to IE 10 onto my PC again and same issue. When I tried to downgrade to ie 9, web form worked again, but now outlook does not, it says I have to have higher than IE 4 even when 9 is working on my PC. I can't win. I cannot reinstall ie9 using an install file of it because it says I already have a newer version on my PC, nor can I takeit back to 8 then upgrade to 9. Right now I am re-installing 10 to see if the problem comes back. I hate MS..I was going to do an image restore of the PC but my last backup was the day after MS put IE explorer 10 on it, and my next oldest is too far back.

Our developers have found what we think is a fix for this issue. Can you please download this file and run it. When prompted, click yes. Once you do that, open Form Builder.

Fingers crossed! ;)
