There must be someone who knows the answers to this.

Has anyone sorted out the pros and cons of getting a form to work through their own domain server?
When I up load the manual server files and try the website I just get a red box saying it can't sent to my notification email or the filled in form email.
Must be a server issue as it works on Sdirve but not on the manual set up.
I need this to work on manual server set up not through sdrive.
I don't have my email setup on the domain server as I use google apps...
If that makes a difference.

Thanks Tim

The PRO is that your form will ALWAYS work on S-Drive Tim. Always.... ;)

For the problem you are having, you can find instructions here http://www.coffeecup.com/help/articles/ … g-reasons/

I can say that I have hosting accounts with at least ten providers around the globe I have never once had to hard-code a FROM email address to make Form Builder work. If your provider is forcing that, you should ask them why.

I don't have my email setup on the domain server as I use google apps...
If that makes a difference.

Again, Google Apps has nothing do with this process. Forget all about Google Apps. ;)

I use WFB forms on my server quite frequently. The first thing to do is a server test. Upload your form files to the server and use your browser to go to:

www.your-domain.com/form-folder/fbapp/php/servertest.php

It will tell you if there is a server issue.

Did you know that Web Form Builder can be used for both simple and complicated forms and that it's not limited to the default fonts and buttons? Take a look at a form we developed for WindowTinting.com.

Hi Brian
I got this result
Not Found
The requested URL /form-folder/fbapp/php/servertest.php was not found on this server.
And some Apache server stuff.
I guess that means in simple English
'It doesn't work'!
I don't really know we're to go from here.
I'll look at the things Scotts sent links to.
If there are some obvious things to look at please divulge!

Thanks Tim

Ok I've read the article
"YOUR FORM COULD NOT BE SUBMITTED FOR THE FOLLOWING REASON(S)"
This is confusing as on WFB the option comes up as [email1] so this implies the email address of the person filling in the form. The email element has this as its path or ID or what ever.
I've seen this on other forum articles.
Just to clarify on the notification section
The To: is my email
And now the From: is mine as well?.
If the From: [email1] is changed were does the form input email end up.
Complete mind muncher!
T.

I don't know where the URL to your form is Tim. Only you know that. :)

Copy and paste the URL to the page that the form is on here.
