Field order on email notification...

My form saves data to a mySQL database, and is set up to send me an email notification. Originally I designed the form with two street address fields (Address 1 and Address 2), but then - prior to publishing the form - I decided to make it three and added an Address 3 text field to the form. At present the email notification has the Address 3 data right down at the bottom of the field list. I've moved the Address 3 field up to just under Address 2 in the mySQL table, but it makes no difference to the email..

Is there anywhere I can alter the email field order so that the Address fields appear in order? I'm happy to dig around in the exported file set if required.

Thanks.

Have you tried calling them 'address1', 'address2' and 'address3' in the Name field? (I.e. not just in the Label field?)

Hiya Alan,

Although this should be fixed in the next update, this thread should help you to fix it for now:

My issue is similar. I created a basic form--everything works. Then I went back and changed the input box for "state" to the drop down (and used the provided US States list). Everything still works perfectly except that in the resulting e-mails (to the sender, and myself) show the zipcode coming before the state instead of after . . .
This is likely simple but I'm not seeing what to do--can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks.

In your form use the actual variable name instead of the [_form_results_] in your email and confirmation setup.
[state] [zipcode] etc etc.......
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.
