Error Code for Mailchimp when testing...

I am new to this software. I have the latest version.
I am getting this error message when I test my sign up form:

Your form could not be submitted for the following reason(s):
Can't contact MailChimp if no Email address is specified. Check the error log.

However, it is going through, because the submitted emails are showing on S-Drive.
They are not showing up on MailChimp, which is where I want to have my database.
I put in the API code in the settings.

Not sure how to get the database to work on Mailchimp, or why I am getting the error code.

Thanks,
Janice

I Janice,
What are you trying to do with your form? When do you get an error?
Are you using an email field?
I think the Mailchimp integration will only email the form results to everyone on your Mailchimp list.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Hi Eric,

Thanks for getting back to me. It happens when someone puts their email into the text field.
I do receive the notification of their sign-up, but they get this message as soon as they hit the Sign Up button.

When I go to my Mailchimp account, they are not added to my subscription list, however, the email is listed on my Coffee Cup S-Drive account.

Maybe it is something I need to do in Settings Form Builder. I will also look in the Help Guide/Tutorial. I must admit, I didn't look there.

Thanks,
Janice

I opened a support topic. We'll see what the CC gurus have to say.

Hi Janice,
I found the issue with a little help from the CC gurus.
Have you selected the elements to match in the Form Builder to Mailchimp?
Open your form in Form Builder
Go to settings.
Select the Mailing Lists tab.
Select the Proper List from the table in the box by clicking on it's name. It should be highlighted.
Now Click on Match Fields.
Make sure you have a matching element on the right hand column to match the ones that are in Mailchimp on the left.
You can click the create elements for all unmatched elements then delete the ones you don't want to use.
Hope this helps.

Oh yeah, I also had to make sure the placeholder text was exactly matched.

Thanks again. I would not have figured that out by myself.

I am also having trouble with MailChimp intregration and this seems to be the latest thread on the subject.
Form Builder 2.9 build 5557
MailChimp date 6/20/2020
I am able to connect to Chimp via my key and see feilds and match no problem.
Publish the folder, php file and a simple html file with the copied html that form builder created.
Super simple form only three fields, email, 2 text.
Very careful to match all the fields in form builder with Chimp like required, type, hidden etc.
Form works perfect. Sends the response emails to the person who filled it out and notifies me that it has been filled out. No error codes.
Data never shows up in MailChimp.
Single opt-in both places.
Tried setting text max characters to what I thought was minimal but I can't find any tech data on this from MailChimp.

What am I missing?
