I've been running this one form using v7.9 for a very long time. We recently made some changes to the form. In the process we have discovered a couple of things on the form that may be new or may be just the way it is and we hadn't noticed until now.
The form is located here: http://myideallife.com/registration.html
When I complete it, it mostly works correctly...EXCEPT... the two drop downs. When you try to select something from them they do not display so the user has not feedback that it's working. The completed form DOES send the selection but still it's not working correctly if the user doesn't KNOW that.
Also, should this be able to work on an iPhone? Client is complaining it doesn't. I told her it might not as it's old technology. So what happens is just a message that says "form object" instead of the registration form. Is there a fix for that?
Thanks.
Sheila

I kept at it and have fixed the drop down issue. I think maybe the field wasn't long enough. I changed so many things I'm not really sure what fixed it.
At any rate...now about the iPhone issue. Is there a fix for that?
Thanks!

I see you are still using the Classic version of Form Builder. This version has been discontinued for some time now in favor of the new HTML version of Web Form Builder that was released in October 2011. On May 1st, 2012 all support for the Flash version was discontinued and we are no longer offering the download of the software from our website.
We have been talking about the new Web Form Builder for almost 2 years now. Where have you been?
Our developers have spent over a year tweaking and adding features that make this the best form builder out there.
Here are just a few features that make this upgrade totally worth it ;-)
- Your forms are now be viewable on all mobile devices. That means iPhone, iPad and Android users can now contact you, which was impossible with the Flash version.
- Accept payments through your form with PayPal, 2Checkout, Authorize.net and Google.
- Build and manage mailing lists through integration with MailChimp.
- Build conditional rules that make elements appear based on selected items.
- Free form hosting. Simply publish your form to our S-Drive service and paste the small block of code into your webpage and you are done!
You don't have to take our word for it. Just see what some of our users have said about Web Form Builder. Pretty awesome right?

Where I've been is doing all my work in WordPress and using Gravity Forms. This is my only remaining HTML site.
So the answer is that the old flash version cannot do mobile.
What is the cost of the upgrade? Will the form I have easily be converted or am I starting over? What's the quickest easiest way to do this? Thanks.

In short, you will need to purchase the new improved (definitely improved without a doubt) version of the Form Builder for any forms to work on an iPhone or an Apple device as well as some that aren't Apple devices. This is because the old form builder is creating a Flash form, and Apple devices do not, and will not, allow the installation of the Flash application on them. There are work arounds by using different browsers on the Apple Devices, but that is something you'd have to educate everyone that uses your site for, so it's not a practical way to do it.
Get the new Web Form Builder and you'll be able to not only recreate your form (unfortunately old flash forms are not convertible so you'll have to recreate it) , but allow it to do a lot more.

There is no way to "convert" the form. You would just need to build it again within Form Builder. The process is pretty quick and painless.

Thanks. And it appears it's full price, no upgrade path?
And would the Lite version allow me to do what I need to do?

We have been offering upgrade paths for about 2+ years now through our newsletters. No specials are currently running at this time. Are you subscribed to our newsletters Sheila? Sounds like you are missing out on a lot of great things.

You can use the Lite version if you like. This will upload your form to S-Drive. If you want the form on your own server, you would need to purchase the software.

Scott...as I said I'm doing WordPress now so haven't a need to continue with this product except for the one legacy site. So no I'm not subscribed. And I don't get the S-Drive option. I have to convince the client it's worth $70 plus my time to set it up. Hopefully it won't take much time but there's usually some learning curve with new stuff.
Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
