Hello Form

Few questions today -

Having trouble with drop downs - when I have a lot of entries it doesn't seem to save them all and I have to enter them in a few times. Anybody have this problem? Any solution

I think I know that answer to this one but I will ask - - Is there a way to redirect from an answer. For instance if you have a question and there are three options, each option answer click will send you to another section of the form? I think they used to use named anchors (?) for this. Can I do this in form builder?

Previous I asked if there was a way to use multi pages with form builder - anybody have a solution for that?

Thanks in advance

Well I'm thinking your issue with entries not showing up might be that issue with they don't always quite get entered completely. When you enter an option on your drop downs be sure to then click into the main screen of your preview window of your form (left side of the program window) so that the option will take effect. Not sure why it does that, but that's what it has done to me from day one as well so I've learned to do quick clicks into the preview area after each entry into a drop down. Tedious yes, but it does seem to alleviate that problem.

For the "linking or sending" to different areas of a form that would be something you would use the Display Rules for so that when they fill out a specific element it will open the next area to be filled out or an added area to be filled out depending on their choices. You can't "send" them to other areas of the form, but the Display Rules should do what you need to do quite nicely I would think.

No clue on the multi page stuff, there are people that have asked for that for quite some years now, hopefully they get it in there in a future update. There are work arounds for that, troll around the forum in this area to see what there is. Searching for Multi Page may come up with the answers. Won't be easy ones I'm sure, but they are doable from what I've seen.

Where are the display rules located - can't seem to find them

Thanks!

When you have an element selected, look at the very bottom of the properties for that element. You will see an option to set a display rule for that element.

Look under "Show Element" at the URL for more info.

Did you know that Web Form Builder can be used for both simple and complicated forms and that it's not limited to the default fonts and buttons? Take a look at a form we developed for WindowTinting.com.

Concept question -

The goal here is to have a drop down (or something similar) that indicates how many drivers will be on a insurance policy, if they pick 3 it would enable a listing for first name - last name - etc fields. This would be for 2 - 3 - 4- 5 - 6 drivers. But, at least the way I'm thinking now its a whole section that needs to display after they select.

Having a hard time thinking how to plan this and can I make the form maker do this. (or is there a work around that I can do?)

This is the prelim of the form to give you an idea of what I was thinking

You can use conditionals tied to the value of the drop downs to show the appropriate number of fields to fill out.
As an example your asking how many cars in the quote but you only ask for the info for one. This could be handled with conditionals.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

BIG THANKS GUYS - - had an AH-HA moment and got the first stage to work - thanks for the advice and patience.

I have been able to get the single element to work but when I try to add a condition it doesn't work. One works fine - I repeat the steps it shows up in the window but doesn't seem to work

Thanks

Byron
