I'd like to edit the template that is used for the notification email. Does anyone know which files contain the html/css for that please?

That is found in the form.cfg.php file.

Sorry but I'm a complete newbie. Where are these editable files located? I could not find any file called form.cfg.php or anything similar.

Look inside of the folder where you exported your form to. You will find it in there.
