Hi,
I use Coffeecup Shopping Cart creator for my website. I am looking to switch to a different website hosting provider (not sure which one yet, would LOVE any suggestions!). When researching host providers, is there anything in particular that I need to find out before switching? Such as does it support php, etc?
Any suggestions/advice on making this a smooth transition would be appreciated.
Thank you!

Here is a list of system requirements that SCC needs in order to work:

Whatever you do decide to go with, stay away from Windows hosting. You will have nothing but headaches with that.

Hi Teresa and welcome ,
I've been useing Lunarpage and justhost for about 4 years and had no problems, (knock On Wood), I guess the thing to make sure is you get an unlimited account with php enabled as you said. It just depends on how much you'd like to spend, I pay 7.95 for lunarpages and they have excellent support if anything goes wrong, and justhost the same, althingh I haven't need any support with either one in 3...lol
Good luck on choosing.

Thank you both!
I've been told that InMotion is a good one.
Does anyone have experience with that?
(Bruzer, your avatar is great!)

Thanks! it looks pretty good doesn't hehe....I mean inMotion
I'm going to try them (inMotion). They meet all of the requirements in the link that Scott posted above, but what really sold me is that I was able to speak to technical support via live chat INSTANTLY and they were extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
You can't go wrong with 1and1.com
You won't find one better or cheaper, and you can do it for as little as $24 for 6 months.

It's nice to have your domain at one place and host where-ever.. that makes a hosting-or-server switch easier in the future, should that come up.
If your web site is for local community, then find one close to your area so you won't have as much latency to the servers.

You can't go wrong with GoDaddy - the biggest and they have everything and a variety of plans. I've also used Webmasters and they were excellent.
