I would like to have the option of auto-subscribing to threads where I have posted. At first I assumed that were the case, because it's such a commonplace practice, and it took me a while to realize people actually had responded to some of my earliest posts.

Now I go back and manually subscribe to each thread I start or post in, but that seems a cumbersome requirement.

Not a bad idea. Apparently, I'm subscribed to over 700 threads at the moment. I suppose it'd be even larger if I were auto-subscribed. :p

Heh. That's the down side. On other forums where I'm very active I have to go in every now and then to houseclean my subscription list.

Oh, as long as I'm dreaming: most sites (when you subscribe to a thread) only notify you when someone else posts to it, not when you do so. It's a minor thing, but kind of redundant to be notified about your own posts.

Yeah, that's kinda bugging me too. It didn't use to before the site was recently given an extreme makeover. I'll pass the ideas along to the CoffeeCup gang, in case they overlook this thread.

I personally like the forums that are set up to notify me of a new post ONLY if it's a new post since my last post. Otherwise, I would receive a billion emails a day. What do think this is the only site I harass people with my comedic talents?

I also like to have the actual post in the email so I can read it without clicking the link to open the browser. That way I can ignore it or choose to respond.

And since my comedic talents are far better than my spelling, a spell checker is a must.

I'm sure an ignor user option would also be handy for those of you who do not appreciate my posts.
