Preview shut down program, previous...

So I've been pretty disappointed with the Coffee Cup software since I bought it 2+ years ago, I thought it would help me out a lot but I ended up only bringing it out when a client needs flash (that I am not good with)...today I finally gave up trying to work in Adobe Flash and opened up Firestarter. After a few hours I managed to get it mostly how I want (really dislike not being able to use transparent images), during the process I saved at least 8 times. A few minutes ago, I did a preview and the program just shut down, completely. I preview, and it closed, no warning. I opened the program back up, expecting to be able to open the file where I last saved (losing maybe 20 minutes of work, no biggie), to find it didn't save at all. I spent something like $160 on all the programs, only to find them all useless and a waste of time. I'm really, really angry.

Sorry you are not happy with the programs. I use them everyday, and am very satisfied.
I see that this is your 6th posting in the forum? Many of us here would be happy to try our best to help you get the most out of your CoffeeCup programs. Is there any chance you haven't upgraded your firestarter in a while? There may be a newer version that fixed that issue and it could be as simple as that. I have seen a couple of similar posting regarding Firestarter and I will be asking the hire-ups if they are aware of this problem.

What version are you using?

Have you upgraded lately? (upgrades are free for registered programs)

What other programs are you having trouble with?

You say "they are all useless and a waste of time"? Yikes, that can't be good. I've used their software for a number of years, and I work full time as a webmaster, so don't tell my boss I'm using the wrong software :P

Have you sent this to CoffeeCup support and started a support ticket with them? This forum is helped by volunteers, and the CoffeeCup online help is the best avenue for contacting CoffeeCup directly for help with a problem like that.

Amy, we were talking about that in a different thread. Ours is in the "design" section, although it should be here. You've experienced the "poof" I was mentioning. Since it's an intermittent problem, it's tough to recreate or solve. I do a "save as" each time to make sure it saves, but wait until the box showing you the files and the html appears and close that before trying to do anything else, or the program will freeze.

Amy had sent the same e-mail through our support system. I replied within 1 hour and so far have not gotten any replies back.
