I have been working with a camp that has 400 participants. There is quite a bit a paperwork that is sent to participants and things sometimes "get lost in the mail."

We are looking to see if there would be an inexpensive and easy way to post the information on-line and have participants use a password to access it. They would also like to be able to monitor when/if the prospective participants have accessed the information so they would know who they need to contact about taking care of their paperwork.

Thanks in advance!

This would require a php login script.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Can the wonderful Tech Gurus give me some assistance with describing the benefits and drawbacks of switching to a server that handles php?

The organization I am working with is considering the switch and would like some more information and I'm struggling with "non-tech geek speak " as they like to call it.

I can't think of any draw backs as most servers offer the ability to run php. There's numerous benefits as a there are a lot of things websites may need that require the use of php. A login script is one benefit but there are many such as running mysql database queries to display data submitted from a form.
