Is Google Getting Money Agressive?

I've noticed lately that:
Google Searches are more BIG Company Oriented
PPC is higher than ever before
Merged Places with the Google Search Algo makes it harder for small business

I still love Google, just sayin' though--

All I know is right now today Google is launching their Google Books system/application and I can't wait for it to be available on my tablet. I'm sooooo sick of all the bookstores and their personal agendas with putting their own personal DRM on their ebooks so you can ONLY read them with their applications. I think those bookstores are going to get a rude awakening with Googles new app that will allow you to read it in a ton of different readers with their own app not needing the specific store apps to do so. I can't wait to see what the bookstores do with this, and I sure hope it wakes them up to that "We are tired of you telling us we can't read our "already paid for" materials any way we want to or that we can't share our "already paid for" materials with our friends and family same as any paper book even though you want to charge us the same price in many cases!" lol...

*end rant and Yeaaa for Google today!* :P

Call me "Old fashioned" but I still prefer good old-fashioned paper pages. I have a Kindle, A Nook, and an iPAD but still usually pay to clear a rainforest instead. I don't see much need for another e-reader format. I can't tell much difference between the e-devices and a professionally put together PDF.

As for yea Google I saw that Sony is selling a couple hundred dollar Google TV device, anybody going to try that out? Yes, they have a very innovative search engine but nothing else they do seems to be very fresh. I might sound like a conspiracy nut but I think they are blowing lots of cash on stuff like this just to pay less in taxes, and don't really care if it is any good or not.

They can give Billions of $$ to Uncle Sam or they can own YouTube, I know what I'd do.

What's disturbing in some of my discussions with peers is aged sites with mucho backlinks(non-blog or forum) is getting the balance(or out of balance) of action on Google while content lacking seo tactics is not getting ranked, but going to never-never land. Google was for the little guy a few years ago and continuity of content on the web was important, but I noticed lately Yahoo and Bing tend to really get it right on searches while some of the results on Google are unpredictable. On one of my local searches(with 600k results), I noticed a site had #1 position and is located in Australia? The site was in flash and the title of the page was "flash"..the site had nothing to do with the niche(transportation and the site was a high school). In the past years, I never saw such a thing.{clears throat} ...but Google is still a really really really good thing :).
