well, either not too many are interested in introductions, or ev1 is busy since this thread was posted. lol

Anyway, My name is Dawn, and i just joined this group last night. i have not purchased the product yet as i wish to try it out. i have a slow puter, and can not load it down with something that would not fit my need, and do not have the money to waste on a useless product (as i am finding with yahoo geocities!)
I usually use an easy editor, visual editor to be exact (now that i know that is what it's called) through geos, but i do work on some simple html as well. Like jack, i started teaching myself html, but at a later date such as late 2000. Early 1999 was my first introduction to online chat rooms where i made many online friends!
As time went by, and i got into creating websites, and editing email sigs, i would also examine the HTML of something and see how it worked, play with it, and then figured out how i could use it. i knew enough to fix my email sigs (change them around to how i wanted them), edit small codes on a pure HTML page, and to help my friends a little. But i did not know enough. So i stuck with the easy editors to create my sites.
one day the geos easy editor stopped working properly, and i decided it was time to learn more HTML so i could make my own pages.
My husband and i bought me the "HTML4 4 Dummies" book and i started reading that. still reading it, and still learning, but i am better when i can be taught also, one on one. so he signed me up for an at home/online correspondence class, since i loved to create web pages so much and everyone that visited would compliment me on them in my guest book. well, that did not work out so well, so it was back to examining other peoples source codes and reading my book.
Now i am going to a college in my home town every tuesday and thursday night to get an associates degree in Graphic?web Designing.

I may be late on getting a start on my college and career, but at least i know i definitely want this now and it won't be a waste of money down the road.

I do also like to do my own crafts, and i like to write. I love having friends, and love a "family" like forum to hang. I also like to help people where and when i can, which once i figure out coffeecup, you may see me helping out there too. I'm usually good at figuring things out on my own, just need help sometimes.

as for my home life, well as i said, i have my husband, who also goes to my college, but for Computer Technician. I have 3 wonderful cats as my only children, and let me tell you, they ARE just like children. as soon as i get my website renovated you will be able to see my children, and read their story.

I am not that hard of a person to get along with unless i'm ..... uhm, what is a nice way to say it ..... (sorry, can't think of nice way) "SCREWED OVER" Such as someone saying they are my friend, then only using me because it fits their need at the time. And i am willing to share some space on my web site page for friends who would not mind me putting a button for their site, as i also have buttons going to sites in which i first found my graphics (before i learned to make my own and graphics i still use cause i like), and just because i like the site and thought others might too. my site "used to be" very well visited until my life got busy and i also lost my puter, then when i did get back to it, i started re-arranging, and just long story.but i still get compliments on it - go figure.

ahm, let's see, what else can i say about me.
hmmmm if there is anything else you might want to know, just ask me. so long as it is not too personal i'll answer. (but don't NOT ask cause you THINK it might be too personal, if it is, i will tell you :) )

i adopted that quote after i lost my father.he was only 43 years old, and died of lung cancer. i was 22, and even after hearing he had cancer, took it for granted that he would live forever. well, one day, a week after fathers day of '93, he went in his sleep. that fathers day was the last time i got to see him. I've heard so many people talk about how they had it "bad" with their parents, but it was always better than me. they were with their parents, and because this ones father did not approve of a girl or something, they hated their father. my parents were divorced, and i barely got to see my father, then later was removed from my mom. theres a song, "you never know what ya got, till it's got" well same goes for "you never know what ya got till you hear that someone else doesn't have that same thing". a year after my dad passed, i lost my grandfather, his father. the following year i lost my god father, and the next year i lost a good friend who had his life taken from him. and he was only in his early 20's.
and it seemed i was always losing someone, so i took a few quotes and made them into one, my own. the way i see it. i also believe in "live for today because yesterday is gone and tomorrow may never come" but i wasn't sure how much space is allotted for quotes, so i picked the one that means the most and will hopefully reach out to people.

Hi
My name is Debra. I actually have been buying Coffee Cup packages over the last year but, only recently started using them. They are fantastic. Far more than I expected for the modest fee. Keep up the good works. I just finished my site for a business I have started (I paint) and used a little of front page and a lot of coffee cup. I love the extras in the html package like the date and time and updates since last visit. Your snippets are so easy to implement and so cool. Thank you!

Hello Everyone,

My name is Glenn, Username Warburg1. I'm semi retired after 35 years of system development and programming. Have worked with all the older programming languages and during the last 10 years with FoxFro. My Html and web work is very limited but I'm heading down this path for something to do, plus I have a few commitments to develop some web sites. Cool.

During the last several months I've tested several web development products, including MS Visual and the products from CoffeeCup.. So this is the product I've choosen. Downloaded he Html module and will probably purchase several others depending on my needs.

Just haven't figured out how to open the downloaded manual. Whats an .EFW extension - need a little help already.

Will probably be in a few other forums as time goes on.

Happy development.

Glenn

Hello again, just did a little research, found that it was my CA antivirus and the real time scanner, turned it off - renamed the file to an exe and extracted using winzip..

sometimes!

Hey all, I'm Ryan.

I get a bit of a kick out of web design, and I'm hoping to turn it into a bit of a small business one day.
