Am I sensing sarcasm? I should hope your advice isn't "Run for your lives." Ha. Honestly, I've been around for a few years now in the forums and bought the super duper uber pack of all the software way back when. My arm wasn't twisted to come back nor in becoming an ambassador/advisor. I understand the frustration when something goes wrong, but if you're around long enough, you'll see CC's dedication to listening to their users, even if it's not an overnight process. And w/ free upgrades for life, chances are things will get ironed out along the way. But to answer your question...I'll copy & paste what I had type from a previous thread:

Ambassadors are part of a large program that started 2 years ago:
http://www.coffeecup.com/forums/topic-a … editor/143
They sent out a mass invitation for people to join. It's more of a marketing strategy to me, but it's also a bit of an extended community of this public forum. I'm not sure if (don't think) more people are being added.

Advisors & Ambassadors are not employees of CoffeeCup, we're only voluntarily helping out, which might help explain why we don't know "everthing."

Adam, you're likely to see a few messages, mine included, written in the heat of the moment.
I fully understand the complexities of writing code for software, I work with computers all day long.
That said, my gripe with CC is not that they've replaced a fully functional program with an "upgrade" that ends up costing some of their clients huge stress and lost time, things like that happen from time to time, they're called mistakes.
What has me and a growing list of people so angry is CC's apparent lack of concern as well as really crappy comunications.
There was a post on this board from a woman making a direct request to Scott to make some sort of statement.
That shouldn't be required.
This is turning into a textbook case on how to alienate a devoted client base.
It's really a shame to see, as I up until now was a huge fan of CC.

Ditto. Well said.

I am also a huge fan, long time user, but am very frustrated.

So you guys have just been hiding out, eh? :P Long time users, and I haven't seen you guys in here until the last couple of weeks. Better late than never, but having looked like new users, I thought it was awfully quick to attack w/o giving a little time. Now I know, and according to old G.I. Joe cartoons, "knowing is half the battle." http://www.coffeecuphelp.com/adam/images/emoticons/nerd.gif

Huh?
I've never tried to hide who I am, I've repeatedly said I've been using VSD for months, the site that I'm having the ongoing trouble with has been up since last December.
I did recently change my username from my email name if that's what you mean.

No no, I'm just kiddin'. Scott said long time user, but only has 11 posts. I like to kid but the sarcasm doesn't come across well in forums. ;)

Yeah, and most people check out forums when they are having a problem. Most do not just post to praise the makers. Human nature and all.

I do apologize if I am too harsh--I am just very frustrated, that's all.
