Well in my case they were, Simon...you just have to look at my avatar to see what it's done to me!!! But, joking aside, so far we have lasted nigh on 30 years and survived with a smile, so it isn't all bad. Just always cherish the good moments, because as a couple you will probably have to face up to quite a few that aren't so good. Learn to laugh at yourselves, and laugh a lot together too.

Just checking if anyone was awake . . .

We were both 18 when we got married, had our first child 2 years later, we have one boy and one girl. Figured that's a match set so we stopped at two.
Of course, marriage is a roller coaster ride. But the highs get you through the lows if you cling onto each other and not look at the other as the enemy.
And yes, we'll be celebrating 40 AWESOME years this September. :D

Twenty years of marriage have left me with one true fact and that is women are crazy but you have to learn to deal with it. :)
