Google Map Address - Post ID 222279

I'm wondering if anyone here has any suggestions for dealing with an address that is in the wrong place on Google Maps. I have a customer with a website and when we enter the address into Google Maps the location is put in another shopping center completely on the other side of a major highway. If anyone uses the location to find directions they are shown driving directions that puts them in the wrong place. I have submitted a request to have it changed, but, no luck at all at this point.

Thanks.

Check http://mapquest.com and see if it comes up in the right place. If so, might want to embed that instead of Google Map. If it comes up in the wrong place too, then I think you'd have to wait on Google to respond.

Sorry couldn't be more help. :P

I had a few issues like this with a few road names. I contact Google by clicking on the link in the bottom right corner of the map where it says "Report a problem".

They fixed it in about a month.:)

Thanks Eric. I have already done what you suggested and reported the problem. We've done that before without luck, but, maybe we'll get somewhere this time. I checked Bing and MapQuest, and their results were even worse! Bing actually included the words "take a U turn" in the driving directions, and noted the "business is on the right" with the marker in the middle of a highway! I was hoping there were other ways to get Google's attention.

I appreciate your response. Thank you.

Have you tried using Google Maps for addresses right next to you or in a very close proximity? If you know the GPS coordinates I think you can use those instead and give directions off of that.
