Has anyone heard anything about microsoft changing ie6,ie7 to end the dreaded "click to activate and use this control"? I understand this is going to happen sometime in april.

I suspect they will soon be dropping support for IE6 and just support IE7 and IE8. IE8 is now in beta:

Just what we need is a browser that offers more bells and whistles and MAY be more compliant with the web standards. :(

That fixit seems to hang IE7 from fully loading. SWFObject is much better.

CoffeeCup's released a bunch of small updates in the last few days, mostly adding the "activate fix" to some of the apps that didn't yet have it. That would be the easiest & most ideal method to get rid of the Click to Activate. It will be nice when that MS update finally comes out, though. It's been quite a hassle.
