Hello, I'm wondering if any CC friends have usaed Flash Blogger and can let me have a couple of links to the sites? I'm thinking of adding a blog to my site and wondered what can be done with the software and how people like it-or not.

That is fine Tone, but also download the trial to see all of the options for yourself before committing to the software.
CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!

Hi Tony,

I have used it on a site that is not online any more (has been updated without the blog). But here you can see an example: http://www.coffeecuphelp.com/flash-web-blogger.php

In order to edit the blog you will have to have the programme installed, but there is a shortcut: If you are on a different computer and want to update the blog, all you need is FTP connection to your server. Then you download the .txt file of the blogger and edit that, upload it again.

It is not possible to have someone else submitting comments to your blog, unless you give them access to the server.

But as Tom says, download it and play with it.

Sorry, there was a full stop after the link that had got 'linked in'. I have edited it out, so now the link should work.

Good morning all and Hi Inger,
Ah! "t is not possible to have someone else submitting comments to your blog, unless you give them access to the server." There's the rub, as we Brits say, I suspect people will want to comment, because of our topic and I ddo not want to have the bother of facing a deluge of e-mails and have to post it all myself. I guess a link to an external blog site, (Google or something), might be a better answer. But thanks, as always for your help, you really are a nice bunch of people.

Instead of a blog, how about a discussion forum?

There are many free ones out there. You could set it up so that everybody can read it, but only registered users can post. That way you can avoid spam.

Hi Inger,
I understand where you are coming from, do you mean entities like Yahoo forums? It may be the answer. I have had a couple of members writing some material, for instance, "Is it time to do away with quotation marks? I think you need a topic to get people started. I have downloaded a ttrrial of LIVE CHAT from CC, but I don't know that is what I need. I don't weant to be tied to the computer indefinately, but I do want members and visittors to get involved. I suppose I could set up a Yahoo forum, linked from our website, paste a topic in and let them all have their say.
Any alternatives to Yahoo you can think of?

Tony, I don't mean Yahoo forums, for some reason I don't like them. I mean things like phpbb and others. Tom mentioned, in another thread, some forum of which I don't remember the name (Tom, if you see this, could you please post the forum you recommended to someone else?).

If you don't mind it's being a different language, here is an example of a phpbb forum: http://setesdal.info/BB2Forum/index.php . This one has not been customized to match the rest of the site, but that is well possible.
