Comfortable headset - Post ID 133040
Hey everyone!
I hope you all had a great weekend!
I desperately need a new pc headset. I use Skype a couple of times a week & I listen in to webinars & things like that & I wear my headset for up to an hour or more at times. The one I have is a piece of crap and just hurts like heck. I wear glasses when I'm using my computer & the headset I'm using just squeezes my ears and mashes the arms/legs of my glasses into my head - really hurts!
I've done some searches online and can't really find anything that is really REALLY comfy for people who wear glasses.
Well, I've found 2 so far - but I'm just not sure about either one. One is called a gaming headset and claims it's really comfy - but it's got that behind the head fit design. The link to that one is:

The other one just looks really cool & states it's comfy too:

Of course I can get that one cheaper on eBay. But I'm willing to pay $150 or even more if anyone can recommend a headset that is just OoOoOber comfortable for people who wear glasses. I prefer a corded set b/c I'm not sure how reliable a wireless set would be. Of course I'd like great sound quality & one of those noise canceling mics - but most headsets offer those features.
Thanks in advance for any help/info/opinions!

We use this one for tech support in our office and it works very well.

Hi Scott! Thanks for the link - I checked it out & that headset looks nice & simple - great price too. I just wish I could try on about a dozen different headsets before I buy. Of course, I can always return whatever I purchase if I don't like it.
Scott - what do you think about Logitech products? Seems like people either love the brand or hate it! It's so hard to determine if the headsets I listed above are really comfy or not. I guess I'll just try to decide on one and order it, try it out & see how it works. I'm just so bad at making decisions!
Thanks again!

Logitech has always been a hit or miss with me. What I don't like about most of their products is they work only on Windows with no OS X support. We do a lot of cross platform development and having support for both OS's is a priority.

Scott,
Do any of your tech support staff wear glasses? How do they like the comfort of the headset you recommend?
Thanks again

I had to think about that one for a minute. You know how men don't pay attention to details like that...
None of them wear glasses. The headset has a very snug fit and it cuts out almost all sound. I just tried to put my sunglasses on with them and it bent the arms a bit. Wasn't too comfortable.

Yeah.....well, ya know, men aren't good w/details - I'll let it slide this one time
The snugness is my only concern - I want a headset that's almost loose - but that still has good sound.
I guess I'll just have to order one and test it out
Thanks & have a great night!
