buying the Big Cup and then having to...

Hi Ed,

Any software that has been discontinued will no longer appear for redownload within your account. This is due to the fact that we do not support any discontinued programs. These programs are still function, they were just retired over time.

However, we will be happy to send you a direct link for any of these applications upon request for you to redownload.

I have a question then ... when I look at the list of "Big Cup" software that I purchased, GIF Animator is in that list (along with some applet factory things, editor, image mapper and direct ftp). GIF Animator is NOT a discontinued product, so why does it not appear in the list of software I can re-download?

From the info I've got, the big cup included:
HTML Editor
Image Mapper
GIF Animator
Direct FTP
Applet Button Factory
Applet Effects Factory
Applet Headline Factory
Applet Marquee Factory
Applet Navigation Factory
Applet Password Factory

Which products are comparable to the applets? If the applet apps are no longer available, why can we not be provided the "new" versions of those for download?

Thanks!

Well, reading this thread has inspired me ...

I'm going down to my dealer and demand that my car which is now a year old and no longer the latest model, be replaced (upgraded) with the latest model.

Any programs that have been discontinued by us, will no longer be accessible online.

These programs have been discontinued for at least 4 years.

Thanks Scott ... I understand that these programs are no longer available, however GIF Animator IS still a supported product. Was GIF Animator a free program at one time and not part of the "Big Cup"? Is this where I'm getting confused?

Gif Animator was a separate program as they all were but was not free. CC only recently put the new packages together or rather rearranged the packages to include common software, such as the E-commerce package.

When I purchased my "big cup" a few years ago, it included programs I already had but the discount was a super great deal and it averaged out to be something like $7 or $8 for each program in the package. LOL

I love coffee in a cup :)

Had to say that! :D

I bought the HTML editor bundle for our church because it was the ONLY bundle that came with the FTP uploader. I also saw that you could edit it visually in the HTML editor. But, I was misled by the description of the software. Now, do I have to buy the Visual Editor too? I don't even want to use the HTML editor. It doesn't even work correctly! I know you can't edit the HTML AND use the visual editing in it, but it didn't work from the beginning. I used the "high gloss" theme, and when I click in the visual tab to edit the header, it goes to the bottom of the page and won't let me do anything. Also, I thought the other things that came in the bundle would help me, they don't..AT ALL. What is your policy about returns? All I wanted to do was re-do the church website.

Disappointed.

Why do you think you have to buy the Visual Editor Jeffrey? Our HTML Editor comes with a code editor and visual editor. You mentioned you need to buy it but later on in your message you say you are having problems with it. So are you using the Visual Editor or are you not using the Visual Editor that comes with our HTML Editor?

As to a refund policy, we do have a no refund policy because we offer fully functional trial version you can test before you buy.

If you can just clarify your issues a bit more clearly and even possibly open a support ticket, one of our techs will be glad to lend a hand and get you all squared up.

I am using the visual editor that comes with the HTML editor. I tried to edit the header on it. When I clicked on the top of the page, in the header square, but not on the actual text, the page goes to the bottom. The text box is big enough, but it won't let me fill it with text. It cuts off in the middle. I tried to just put it in to the header in the HTML editor, it was still cut off. Also, I can't seem to get rid of the logo that is on the header in the "high gloss" theme.
I think you need a dynamic help search instead of that PDF. It's not helping much.
Doesn't the HTML editor have it's own FTP up-loader? If so, why would I need the other one, along with the access manager, color schemer, and site mapper? I have access to my files, the color is already in the themes, and the sites are automatically mapped.

I tried your "fully functional" trial version. It wouldn't let me test the things I wanted, but I liked the setup. My mistake was, I tested the Visual Editor, not the HTML Editor. I wanted to save the Church money by bundling the things your website led me to believe I needed. I guess I'll have to get the Visual Editor, and waste the money they already spent.
I'm sorry if I sound rash, I'm very frustrated.

Are you refering to Visual Site Designer? or the Visal Editor?

Bundles are discounted if you buy more then 1 program at a time, typically ones that people buy togetjher, You do not need everything or even more then 1 item in a bundle, and if you only want one item, why buy the Bundle?
It is the same as a person buying a box of crayons, you can buy 8,12,24,48,but you only need 1 to draw

The FTP program allows you to FTP a number of files together, within the prgram you can upload 1 file at a time, the one you are working on, useful during revisions.
