I have never found a customizable script that I can embed on a site that tells various things like temp, weather, and.....I am sure NOAA has it...but, in alaska it would be nice to tell how many hours of daylight.

But, look at www.iditarod.com at the top....it looks cooler than a wunderground sticker.

I cannot figure all this out...but, it seems that accessing
http://www.nws.noaa.gov/xml/ a person could call their location, generate a xml file and then post it....so, I am thinking your similar code for RSS NEWS feeds but somehow configure it so it is basic to configure by location with options of how much weather a person wants to display.

I'm wondering if that ( iditarod.com ) isn't a souped-up "weatherbug" feed...

Well, I took this route:

I think all NOAA, NWS, is offering other than experimental, is XML for 'watches, warnings' etc. There are some other sources/tricks...

And each of those "Headlines" link back to the originating NWS Site.
(Which is why I'm experimenting with 'swfobject' mentioned below...)

I'm using the feeder on my web,( http://ourspecial.net/)with about 14-15 NWS feeds, Including the Hurricane Center...I have a "pop-up" fixed-sized window available there, that has the same feed plus links to NWS local weather pages, + a Canadian and Yahoo link for Clinton Ont. Canada... That pop-up window is experimentally using "swfobject", and either that script, or some machine's security settings wont show the feed on that window on some machines....

That window link is down in the page "OSN Weather Center: Watches, advisories, updates "
I think... therefore, I'm in a mess....
