I'm moving to Mac later this month. And I've come to the conclusion that any software that's worth it salt (And I Believe CC Is) should have a Mac version.

I don't want to buy a Mac and then have to "Frankestien" it with scores of software to make the CC software work!!

Come on CC guys ... This is a no brainer. If we're going to rule the world with the CC software then we're going to have to recruit Mac users to bring them over from the "Dark-side" of the moon!!!! LOL

Yes, I'm venturing over to the Mac world, but I like to know that my tools work on both PC & Mac.

I believe CC should place a poll on their site to get a true reaction of where people are regarding a Mac version CC software.

Absolutley. I've been using CoffeeCup apps on my PowerMac with Parallels (Windows Virtual Machine) for several months. The MAC never crashes (MacBook Pro) but even in emulator mode, the Windows XP I'm running does from time to too soon, time. I would love to have CoffeeCup apps for the MAC.

However - those who have never used a MAC don't understand how nice it is to run a machine that's stable and intuitive.

The point is CC isn't going to rule the world...not a big fan of the software...actually have a hard enough time getting the junk to work on Windows...that's why I went to a real software company to get the software I need...MacroMedia...publicly traded company...ever heard of them? Software rules and if you'd just buy therer software in the first place...you wouldn't need or want this garbage...evenutally here @ CC you get a bundle of software that doesn't even compare to what one package they offer can do...

Extremely disappointed customer...but don't worry... i won't ever use or purchase from these folks again.

I develop trading systems and if I put out such an inferior product...I'd be ashamed...:o

Hey CoffeeCupTruth...coming soon!,

You may want to brush up on your history before you start trumpeting the praises of a company that was acquired almost 3 years ago.

Trading systems, huh? No ambiguity there. You developed software to trade stocks and bonds? Well, that makes you an authority, I suppose.

If you were/are such a cynic of CC's software, why would you have purchased a bundle? You said, "here @ CC you get a bundle of software that doesn't even compare." Did you buy a bundle outright?

I searched the forum and only found 2 insufferable posts from you. If you were having such difficulty, why weren't you using the forum or opening support tickets for help?

Furthermore, while this is a public forum, if your posts aren't helpful or constructive, they will be deleted.

However, I vote you get banned just for using the emoticon.
Let's not get all hurt.

Ha. If using emoticons gets someone banned, I'm going to have to turn myself in. However, creating a username called CoffeeCupTruth with the sole purpose of bashing the company are better grounds. However, I'm too curious about the whole mission at the moment. I'm really curious what hidden "truth" lies underground concerning CoffeeCup. As capable as CoffeeCup software is, I consider Adobe apps to be in a different league (different targets in marketing). There's some major points between the two. I, personally, consider CoffeeCup apps to be geared more towards those starting out, or those who simply want to design web pages without having to learn HTML or other languages. Also (a biggie), Adobe Dreamweaver alone costs $400. Adobe's Creative Suite costs $1600. CoffeeCup's entire package of 20-some apps costs less than Dreamweaver alone. And guess what? Next year when Adobe releases an upgrade, that's another $200 for Dreamweaver or $1,000 for their Creative Suite. If you or anyone else has the deep pockets, by all means, enjoy. But I, along with many others, don't have that kind of budget nor can justify spending that kinda dough.

CoffeeCup offers trials for all of their software, support by phone/forums/email, and offer refunds within 30 days of purchase (don't quote me on the # of days, although fairly sure that's the case). If you want to post around with warnings, tell people to "try-before-you-buy" as you should have done.

Obviuosly aware that the company was purchased...and that was the point...I was going to include Allaire, but many wouldn't know who they were...ColdFusion and HomeSite...creators...they were purchased as well...

btw, I tried the Try before you buy and had a few issues as well...I sent multiple, multiple support tickets and many went un-answered...

After having so many problems...I went back and found that I wasn't the only one...

CoffeeCupTruth...coming soon!

Your experience does not match mine. When I first found this site, I purchased everything, and had but one problem, and when I thought they had not answered I remembered that Comcast has a spam filter that frequently kills things I want. I was told about the question history that I can access, and found that my question had been answered by email shortly after I sent my email.

So, did you check your question history?

Did you post any questions here on the forum?

While the CoffeeCup software my not be perfect (what software is?), it works for me, and the CoffeeCup staff listen to the customers and do fix problems when the problems are brought to their attention.

Bill,

I am quite glad your experience was much different than mine. If I went through the entire process, maybe you too would have been saying there is something really fishy about this...

So...here goes the start...
I decided to purchase because while CoffeeCup claims to have Try before You Buy ... software, is it really a full avialable demo?...I found that it wasn't and that was to me a little misleading. I try many software programs and find that I don't like them, but typically the demo is the EXACT same as the TRIAL. (more on this later)

When I finally was to the point that I wanted to try the real thing...I get a buy one get two free...I can't help it, but I liked that idea...after I purchased and hit submit...coming from a WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT company, one would think this process would be flawless...all of the sudden the other two programs disappeared...if they can't get it right...then something is obviously wrong...

Now, I've coded websites in HTML, FLASH, COLDFUSION, and other languages and ...the fact that this happened had me wondering ... WHAT HAPPENED THERE? Programming is all logic and well...it just didn't make sense that all of the sudden this would happen. I mean the server just doesn't skip over language and neither does the browser...

So...that was a clue to stay away...heres another...
While using the TRIAL ... I designed something I liked...the software says to enter your code and the trial will become a full version...that didn't happen. I've done this numerous times with other software and never had this problem. I was told I would have to take it off and re-install it...so I did and lost my original, not really a big deal, but very disturbing.

My point is that I purchased the software and was extremely disappointed in what I received...

You often have to buy many programs here, to get what one program can do from another vendor...and the bill gets driven up, when all you'd have to do elsewhere is buy a program and learn how to use it...

The software isn't crippled except for adding advertising banners in some places.

Another curiosity of mine is when people come from other programs, what drove them to CoffeeCup? In your case, if you've already been working with what you think is the better applications, why did you stray to CC? I'm not trying to be rude or attack, I'm honestly interested (& not just in your view). I'm personally always out to save a buck, which is a big motivator to me. I'm more into the fun stuff though. People could spend the weeks/months to figure out how to program their own photo gallery or web form in Flash, but you can do it in 2 mins with a CoffeeCup app. That's the selling point for me.

I'm not sure which program this is. I honestly haven't installed a trial for quite a while since I have all the registered versions, but the way it used to work, you'd uninstall the trial and then install the registered version (didn't have codes to enter). Might be a newer thing.

While it's partially true, depending on the app/suite were comparing to, most other big boys like Dreamweaver & Frontpage still don't offer all the flash-based goodness like skinned jukeboxes, video players, etc.
And again, one of those programs alone cost more than everything CoffeeCup makes, so the bill getting driven up at most is less than the competitors. Honestly with 27 apps for $229, even if half of them don't suit our needs, it's still a really good deal (my opinion, of course).

I'm sorry your experience hasn't been as great. Like Bill, I bought the whole pack years ago as well. Fortunately, with your purchase, there's free upgrades for the products, so perhaps whatever issues you may have had will eventually be ironed out. It's unfortunate we didn't hear your issues in the forum before these posts as I'm sure some of the fires could've been put out. I'm wondering what the ticket history might say about the support responses. If Scott were to run by this, he'd probably look it up himself. Like Bill said, the issue in lack of response is typically a failure in email delivery (usually filtered by spam), but the My Question History section lists the questions and responses. I'm sure you're beyond caring for that now, but it's worth checking for peace of mind. ;)
