After resurrecting my Laptop by installing the latest Ubuntu version moving away from XP which is just to slow on this machine now, I would like to use Coffecup in Ubuntu...

Since Ubuntu and other Linux distros become more and more popular and easy to use (Installation of Ubuntu 10.10 was a breeze...), is there any chance that the HTML editor is getting a Linux/Ubuntu Version one fine day?

Regards...

If you can't run CC apps on a native XP install because it will bog down the system, how are you going to run XP on top of Ubuntu using VM software?
CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!

That's not what I want to do...
I would like to see a native Ubuntu Version of CC Software to make use of this much faster operating system...
I am not thinking of installing a XP through VM ware, I do use some programs through wine and that works with some software.

Don't get me wrong, I do like XP, but I got to the point where Ubuntu is just so much faster, even with 100% processor usage it's not slowing down and is getting unresponsive...

CoffeeCup has said that future products will be available for mac. I don't think they have mentioned Linux.
CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!

We have no plans to enter the Linux market. Traditionally that market has always preferred the Open Source route as opposed to paying for software.

I think if that philosophy changes, you would see more companies developing software for Linux.

How much work is it to port Software from Windows to Linux?

I thought that the more OS are supported, the more customers might opt for it, also because it's available in variable OS and you can pick up the program in another OS without having to re-learn big time...
A lot of Servers as far as I know run on Linux and Apache...

It all depends on what the original language was. Needless to say, it is no small task. ;)
