Just got to play with the new shopping cart beta. It is very friendly and intuitive. With no user help files, I had a test cart with a half dozen items built and published in about 20 min. For those on the hunt, as they say " this dog will hunt". There are numerouse good looking skins and they are editable to some extent. This should be a big intro for all us beginners to novices looking for an entry level cart not requireing data base knowledge, scripting experience. Must have server .php support. Bring it on!!!

Does the cart include a module for Authorize.net SIM or any other payment method besides PayPal?

The first version will be PayPal only. We will then either be releasing modules or a pro version which will start support the major payment processors out there.

I've been waiting for this, but when will it be released with the modules? Does anyone know? I just purchased X-Cart and I am about to get a refund. I am now reviewing Quikstore.com, Squirrelcart, Ecommerce Templates, and Static Cart.

I am hoping that Coffee Cup releases this like ASAP.

Keep up the good work!

Been impressed with the beta so far.

One suggestion. Is it possible for example, if you put 0 as the price that no price button appears ?

I'll explain - I use oscommerce for a website for an animal sanctuary I help out at, people can look at the various animals, dogs - large/small/new etc or cats.

I downloaded a bit of code for oscommerce so when i put the price as zero none of the 'buy it now' 'available at £...." appear.

So the oscommerce site i run is like a shop but with no prices, its like a catalogue ?

Would love it if you could do this with the Coffee Cup Shop builder, eg put the price in as 0 so no pricing buttons would appear so you could also create a shop as a catalogue/listing site ?

Thanks

psj,

That's actually a cool idea. I can think of many uses for an online catalog. Hopefully it will be instituted.

Yeah i hope they do something like that. Hopefully wont be too much work but would really make the Shop builder even more powerful as it'll have many more uses.

Heres hoping.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
