Guys, not to say they won't or can't do this Games generator thing, but this is software for Web Design, I think you're getting a little outside the box here :P

Having said that, an app that allows you to "put" games on your site easily would be more within the range of what they do. Something similar to the photo gallery and such as you mentioned would be definitely different and useful I'm sure to many.

I have a few mailing lists I have to send emails out to every now and then. "No Spam", and have a program in CGI/PERL that I use and like but would love to have something "Coffeecup" instead. Do you think this would be a possibility?

LOL, can you imagine the Gaming Generator Thread. :D

I can't build 3D cities, superman won't fly across the sky, Pacman won't eat fruit, the soldier just won't die, hey this app won't create tic tac toe...

How can CC possibly create an app to satisfy the vast possibilities of the world of gaming development?
CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!

Yeah Tom, sure wouldn't want CC to do anything hard!

You'll notice, I said 'classic' games like crossword, word search, sudoku, and scrabble-type, or card games where we could customize the backs/fronts of the cards. I wasn't asking for 3-D virtual reality RPGs

Games my customers could fill in online without printing or have drag/drop game pieces. Maybe even something wild and crazy like a 'high score' system.

Yeah, that'd be tough to implement . . . Whoa, other sites do vanilla versions for free and solitaire comes pre-loaded on my computer. Yeah, that would be tough for the company that kept hundreds of geeks chained to their computers for a week searching for the gold egg.

Superman, Pac-Man, etc. aren't invited to this party because of trademark/copyright issues.

Another software bunch sells a crossword puzzle and word search puzzle generator for $69.95 and I have no guarantees it will integrate neatly with a CC built website. It caters to teachers and that is a group that CC is currently reaching out to.

It was a suggestion and not an outrageous one. I, for one, would be the first customer. My company has its own characters and games would be a good selling tool and bring people back to my website.

But, that's just me.

Scott,
I Would love to see Coffee Cup design a DHTML or flash file tree display. If the tree could update showing the current contents of the directory when the user clicks the link would be great. Most file tree html apps on the market just create an image of the current files in the directory, so you need to re-create the tree directory every time you add a file to the directory. See attached screenshot.

I'm sure you are correct and CC would benefit from such a venture. :)

I love Coffee Cup and hope to see much more. For example, I see a lot of advertisements on web pages about automobiles and how they drive across the screen into an advertisement window. I think that would be great for CoffeeCup if they could give their customers the capability to advertise something on their own website that will have such an effect.

Sincerely
Lonnie G.

I would like to also see that CoffeeCup Visual Site Designer allow more than 500 pages for a website and can you give VSD the ability to Add images with a light box that when clicked will enlarge.

Hi Lonnie

You might want to pop your post about VSD over in the VSD thread for the developers to find next time they're looking for new things to do...
Have fun
