I know where everything is...if only I could find it!
I know you believe you understand what you think I said...but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not exactly what I meant.

It's sad... I used to (and this will date me a bit) have a stack of floppy disks (the real floppys 5-1/4") with hundreds of disk in it, NONE of them labeled, I could reach down and pick out the exact disk I needed EVERY time. It even impressed my wife. Now, I can't remember what I put on a thumbdrive just 2 seconds ago. :(

lol Phil, although I can't relate to having "that" good of a memory, I can relate to the disks and the date :P

I say terrific! I do a great deal of work for RV dealerships and Auto dealerships. Hosting their own inventory is a cost effective solution for them as opposed to listing inventory with a listing service and linking to their website. Using the Coffee Cup Shopping Cart, I can generate listings with detail, but requiring an "add to cart" button looks unprofessional for a $300,000 motorhome. The price requirement get's in the way too, as many times we simply want to say, "contact seller". For these types of products, at least 12 images should be available. And, it would be great to have addins like a payment calculator, print this page button, contact dealer button and other options.

Thank you so much for all of the solutions you provide for me to offer my clients without having to outsource programming experts! Your company is the best!

Hi!
I'm sellig products with prints on and want something like this:
(customer can choose product and print/text)
http://shops.oscommerce.com/directory/goto,41723

Maybe as a stand alone shop or as a module for SCC pro.

Is it something you can do?

Hiya Trend,

Although it isn't quite as graphical as what the site you linked to has, the current Shopping Cart Creator already has the ability for the customer to choose options for your products, just not input as to comments of customization. If you need something to do different prices for different styles or sizes, then for now you need to create separate products for each of those choices, but if the price is the same regardless of the choice, then the current SCC is all you need.

Coming up soon in the SCC Pro version at some point you should see the Options system changing to a much more feature rich system which has the ability to have alternate prices in the choices so you can keep all your "like" products in one box. This will help if you have different prices for different sizes such as T-Shirts. Not sure if that will make it to the original release, but it should be there in one of them.

All same priced options can be placed in the Options box with different drop down menus showing up for each choice the same as the site you linked to has for some of the choices. If you have a color swatch that you want to use just use an image and input it into the HTML code tool on the products page so people know just what color/style to match with the name on the dropdown menu. It's pretty slick really :)

Hi Jo Ann!
I understand other solutions can give the almost same result for "print on products"-shops, but shops like this one from link seem to be easy to use and customers can even enjoy creating and shopping. Here they can attach a pictue from their own or choose from visible siluettes.

I like the SCC, it's very easy to install and use, but it also must suit the shoppers well.

If customers can't put in their own text in a field, how can a text then be attached to an order? Can I put a formfield into by HTML??

I add a picture so you can see what I mean.

yeah I see what you mean, I didn't catch that you were wanting them to be able to do custom things.

Yes you can use forms, but, they aren't connected to the order so it's a separate thing that you'd have to match up the email with the order then, depending on how busy you are that could get pretty messy. And you can also do text comments in PayPal if they choose to pay that way, but that may not always be available for all payment options so... ya it's something to consider and hopefully something they will add in a future update as it's been asked for by quite a few people so we'll have to wait and see :)
