Blog Software is what's on my mind

I just realized how out of the loop I have gotten wrt to the Coffee Cup community. I'm very active in an online Christian think tank so I haven't spent much time here.

I seem to recall that when I first started with Coffee Cup via Lunar Pages the software package included one for creating a Blog. I was far more interested in developing an ecommerce cart then in developing a blog. I currently have a blog at blog-spot. I am currently paying for Web hosting that I'm really not using right now that I could use to host a blog. Add to that, blog-spot does not have a search feature for the website.

Question, is Coffee Cup planning to offer blog software again or if not please suggest where I can find a good package with a search feature, categories, etc. Also, has any of you successfully used shopping cart pro for creating a blog.

Thank you very much
.

S-Drive Streams is what we have replaced that program with. You can then use Power Post to administer it or use the S-Drive Dashboard.

Oh no, more stuff to pack into my overloaded brain. Since I didn't have an immediate need for it I kind of ignored all the S-Drive Streams information that has been posted. Is there someplace that I can get a crash course concerning information. Meanwhile I'll start searching the Coffee Cup site for information about S-Drive Streams.

Thank you Scott, you rock.

Thank you Suzanne, I'll look into both later today. Right now my biggest problem seems to be using my Dragon Naturally Speaking software with a bad case of the hiccups.

I have less than 200 postings on my current blog so the less expensive plan would work for now. However eventually I would be well up into the more expensive plans especially if I could figure out how to let people comment. What would be the difference between using the S drive streams and hosting and using coffee cup Creator Pro with my own hosting and trying to piece together some form of a blog. As always I'm looking for the most bang for the buck and I sure appreciate the help, you guys are terrific and have a great software.

One of my favorirt bloggers has a blogspot account so if he's happy with blogspot, I am too. So I'll use my hosting and domain name for my years old website for now: http://www.universal-expressions.com/

And my blog will stay where it is:

Hey Sally,

The CoffeeCup S-Drive freebie plan has no post restrictions/limits and can be imbedded into your own site giving you total control. There are options for comments, tweets, Facebook likes and more.

I use S-Drive streams here: http://blog.fixtronix.com and as you can see, it's imbedded and styled to fit with my web site design. I also use PowerPost to manage it, but you can post by e-mail from anywhere as well as from within your S-Drive account and so on.

I used to use WordPress but hated the way you can't properly control and imbed the blog to suit your own needs. Maybe blogspot is different, but I am certainly delighted with S-Drive Streams and for a service that's totally free and so customisable, it's mega.

Does s-drive permit visitors to respond? I see where you can post your own comment, but I don't see a mechanism for a site visitor to respond.

Is it possible to self-host the blog which seems dependant on S drive?
Can users/customers steer away from posessionalism in this manner?
