A Sliding Billboard Application

I see on many sites these days where there is a billboard like look to the main images or header at the top of the page.

The software would have:

Ability to size the main billboards height and width.
The ability to add images with or without text as needed.
Allow to have multiple images on one slide
Allow to scroll the different "Billboards" vertically (up or down) or horizontally (left or right).
Ability to make the images or slide ... links to files or webpages.

This would be a great piece of software that I would buy immediately.

Well....ummm!? put a site link for "us" to see what you're referring to...
web-editor can do that if you aren't "graphically challenged".
make the graphics, with pictures, type...etc...
ftp them to your site and use the scroll bar in your browser...

MSN.com has one under the "Today on MSN"
WHMCS has one for their Header

They need to be able to auto scroll on their own and be able to be paused as well.

Just do a google search for:

jquery slider
or
jquery slideshow
or
jquery gallery

and you'll come up with a lot of them that are pretty cool. Marquee tag works ok, but it's been deprecated in HTML (the jerks cuz I love that tag! lol), but it can be used with CSS apparently, which I haven't tried.

The sliders I think are what you're after. Many can do just text, or just images and some can do both. Many are free, but of course the really great ones cost money so it all depends on what you're after. :)

In all reality, I would even like what is on the homepage of the coffeecup homepage. But an easy program to be able to add things like that and the ability to change the items as needed.

haha cute david :P

yeah that's basically a jquery settup on the CC home page. Try a google search on jquery slider and you'll find lots of them and most of them are pretty nice and easy to setup :)
