I feel so lost. Are there any specific instructions for how to get the sitemap on a page in VSD? I tried to follow the instructions but ?????. It's not working. Sorry.

Hi Eric. thanks for responding. Right now there is a site map from the old sitemapper, but I can't seem to understand how to get it there from the new sitemapper. It is http://www.bookplate.biz/sitemap.html I tried the number 3 manual instructions and got lost. Didn't work. Wish we had videos to watch. Oh my. I need to go to coffeecup school. Thanks for any insight.

Hi Sarah,

There are 2 ways to get your site map 'on your site'! You can go to 'settings' in Sitemapper and select FTP and put in the data for your server and upload that way, but that's not what I do.

I take the easy route and simply create the site map and export it to a folder on my computer. Then I use DirectFTP from CoffeeCup to upload the exported files to my server.

Once you do this, you simply create a 'text link' or a 'button link' to the file that is named for your server.

ie.. my web site is gunsmoke.me So, in the exported files there will be a file gunsmoke.me.html
Link to that file, whatever yours is called, and when the link is clicked the sitemap will be displayed.

Hope this helps, let me know if you need anything more.

You need to add the two files to your site.:)
In VSD "Add Files"
Click on :Add a folder"
Name the first one "sitemap-css"
Now click on "Add files" at the bottom of that window then browse to the sitemap.css

http://www.bookplate.biz/sitemap-css/sitemap.css

The second one
Click on :Add a folder"
Name it "js"
Now click on "Add files" at the bottom of that window then browse to the respond.min.js

Thank you Gunsmoke and Eric for your instruction. Gunsmoke, I tried that and that's where I got lost. the resulting sitemap went way, way down and off the page and the design wasn't there. oh, hum. maybe I did it wrong.

Thank you Eric. Your instructions sound easy enough. I will try it first thing in the morning. I was trying to put all those things in the html box on the page and that didn't work. Wish I could understand all this easier. It used to be so simple. Thank you for your constant help.
