Maybe it would be helpful to post the URL to the sitemap.xml that you're giving to Google? Just a thought.

Sticker,

What file are you trying to let Google use?

Have you tried viewing the sitemap on your site?

Have you tried setting up via the Google webmaster tools?

I'm using Coffee Cup site mapper do bring the site in question to Google's attention - I'm sure I'm probably just missing a simple step! In terms of setting up via Google webmaster tools - I appreciate the suggestion, but I bought this Coffee cup app to do exactly that! I may go down that road in the future, but I wanted a simple step application to do the job for me!

Sure - here's the url: (It's a client site so please excuse the text!)
EDIT: -removed- problem solved!

Again, this is all new to me - does the map look healthy?!

Is that the link you gave to Google? I'm thinking it's looking for the sitemap.xml link, not the html one. I just checked and you do have both files properly in place.

Seeing as I still have you, how do you find the site mapper?

Does it actually increase the visibility of sites submittted - or does it do the same job as Google's own application?

Like a great many CC applications, it duplicates things you can do via other means, but makes it easier for you. I believe submitting a sitemap to Google does a lot of good for visibility, no matter how you go about it.

Sticker I also use the site mapper and am very happy with it. I am not sure what you mean by Google's own application? site mapper does submit the sitemap to Google.
