I am being driven somewhat insane by this software. I could write a book on all the problems I have had, but to take just two...

I have a paragraph of text. I style it to use Century Gothic font. It appears on the screen in Century Gothic font. I then select Preview On... and it appears in Arial! I go back to design mode - no, it's definitely in Century Gothic. Duplicate an existing paragraph that works. Back to Preview - it's Century Gothic - hooray! I always work on the 'mobile' width (using Foundation 6.5.3), Preview comes up PC width. Reduce the width somewhat - IT'S BACK TO ARIAL!

I have a text link in a list of links, coloured light blue. I want to annotate this one with "New!" in red. I select the text and change the font colour - except that it doesn't. It changes in the Properties panel but not on the screen. I duplicate the previous entry that had that annotation. All fine. Delete "New!" from the old one, no problem. Change the text in the new entry - hey, this is looking good. Change the link in the Properties page - and "New!" goes back to blue. AAARGHH!

And, of course, with no user manual for the product, I can't look up any detail as to how I can fix this. I am seriously thinking of giving up.

Your text link issue, do all your text links have the same class name? If so, they would also all share the same properties, colours, sizes etc. The solution would be to give that one text link a different class name.

Or is it just one word ('NEW') that needs a different colour? Click the Edit text, mark the word in question as selected, and change the colour.

Seeing your project file would help letting us better understand your problem.

I'm grateful for the offers of help! A bit late now in the UK, but will try to put something together tomorrow.

Just to answer Inger: "Or is it just one word ('NEW') that needs a different colour? Click the Edit text, mark the word in question as selected, and change the colour."

Yes, just the one word that needs changing. And I do exactly as you said - but it doesn't change! Then, after much fiddling, it DOES change, but when I attempt to set the link, it changes to black. Very odd. More to come...

You have to set the link BEFORE you change the colour. It would be best if we could see your project file, just in case there is something that either you haven't thought of mentioning, or I haven't understood, or something I haven't explained well enough.
