Where did my resources go? - Page 1 -...

Open an existing project and the images are missing. They have been replaced with question marks. I review the project resources and the files are there, but images don't appear as thumbnails. Instead, they are default file icons.

I begin tinkering with it and added an existing image file. This worked, but I didn't get any 'replace existing file' notification.

Please don't tell me I have to go through and manually add all these images again.

Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Well that is no good!

It sounds like something happened when you saved the project and not all of the images were saved. Unfortunately there is no quick fix there. You will have to re-add each image.

When you were saving the project, are you putting your project file on a network , USB or cloud drive?

Started adding images all over again, save the project and reopened to check progress... they are all corrupted again.

Am I now looking at a total loss here? Uninstall & reinstall?

Where are you adding the images from? Are they also on a network drive? If so, try putting them in the main drive and add them to RSD that way.

Uninstall and reinstall never hurts when odd things creep up. ;)

Yes - the images are on a network. I'll uninstall/reinstall. This could cost me two months of work.

Uninstalled/reinstalled. Same outcome.

As it stands, I can't replace images to correct the fault. It's like the project is completely busted. I'm looking at a restart unless there's something you can offer that will fix it. What are my options?

Post a link to the project file and a zip file of your images. I will see if I notice anything out of the ordinary. Also, knowing what your system specifications are would help.

Did you also try adding images that were not located on a network drive? Seems that drive is causing some issues.

Do you have those images ready? I need a zip file of the "img" folder.
