I would like to know your opinion about WYSIWYG Website Builders. I read an interesting article last night about this system. If anyone can point me in right direction that would be great. Here is an article about this

I'm a coder, so I have never used any of those WYSIWYG builders. I have had a look at some of them though.

My general impression, and I may perhaps do some of those systems in your article unjustice, is that you are locked into some system where you have very limited liberty to make your own changes, add features that are not built into their modules, and have your site hosted wherever you like. A lot of the tools they come with may be free, but you then may have to pay top dollar for the hosting (or you may have to accept adverts instead of paying). The site is built online, and if the server fails, you most likely don't have a local copy. And if you want to set up more than one site, you need to pay for each one. I hear others saying that the support is likely to be very slow working.

I prefer having full control, so I'm doing my own work.
Having said that, I have recently started playing with a fairly new programme from CoffeeCup Software, called Responsive Site Designer, RSD for short. It is to a large extent a WYSIWYG programme, but you will not be able to avoid coding completely, unless you create a very simple site, of course.

The advantages with RSD are, among others:

You pay for it once, and a smaller fee for vital upgrades (small upgrades are free).
You can choose where you want to have your site hosted.
You build the site locally, so that you always can keep a copy of it, just in case.
You can make as many sites as you like.
You can decide on the flexibility of your design to match both the design and your needs.
It creates sites that will adapt to all kind of screen sizes.
You can add code from other programmes if you want.
The support is quick and friendly :)

Just my tuppence worth...

This statement for "REMOVED NAME" is incorrect mate, and miss leading.
I own version 8, 9 and 10, and will be purchasing version 11 of that program.

@ tyigi as this is a CoffeeCup forum I will not go into details, but as far as I am concerned it all depends on what you require and how you work and your knowledge base.

RSD is a great product, but you do need some knowledge to make it work fully for you, I would recommend it for people with some knowledge of HTML, CSS and JS.

Both products are very good, RSD being built from the ground up for responsive design.

As far as I can see, I didn't mention any specific web builder by name, I was referring to the list of WYSIWYG programmes in Tvigi's attached list. I was speaking in general terms and also said that I might risk doing some of those programmes injustice, since I don't know them all, and not well enough.
I have no idea about which specific programme you are talking about.

@ Inger that's why I used the "This statement for "REMOVED NAME" is incorrect mate, and miss leading." of course the removed name has changed mate lol.
