Has there been any update on this issue?

I am having the same problem self hosting, and yes the hostgator php verson is up to date, and yes it works on sdrive.

After searching found a link pointing out the server test procedure built into the package at yoursite.com/your-exported_file/fbapp/php/servertest.php . Tested my server and found it to be 5..2.17. Where as the master server on hostgator is 5.4. Used the php update in cpanel to upgrade my own connection, and guess what everything works.

Might just be what others need.
